とりあえず (toriaezu)

What it means

   For now; to start with; anyway. Marks a provisional decision made to stop deliberating rather than because it is the right one.

   In a bar, とりあえずビール is close to a fixed phrase: 'beers to start', ordered before anyone has looked at the menu.

  We'll start with beers.

  Note: Said to the waiter within seconds of sitting down. Ordering anything else first mildly surprises people.

  Let's just give it a go and see.
